Thank you so much to everyone who sent me messages, commented, or reblogged on my screenwriting post last night. It meant a hell of a lot hearing about similar experiences and just general messages of support.
This will sound silly, but I was so ridiculously wound up and annoyed about it that I couldn’t get to sleep.
I spent almost three hours talking it out today, and I’ve decided I’m going to junk their suggested gender changes – and a female love interest makes a thousand times more sense, so that’s staying too. There were some good points in the rest of the feedback, but it’s unfortunate that so much time was spent on ‘have you thought about adding more men’.
I feel so much better simply having made the decision to stick with my guns on this. I’m sure I’ll sleep much better tonight, & wake up ready for a fun Halloween with Jess tomorrow!
