I like them.
They aren’t the be all and end all of how to get into the industry, but they can be helpful.
However, they can be super expensive, too.
annerocious is a much better research for this than I am 🙂
Nicholls and Austin and Bluecat. If it’s a 110 page tenth draft with a logline everyone really responds to.
Placing well at Austin is a fantastic experience. Nicholls will make the phone ring from very high places. Bluecat pays well and generates a lot of interest from filmmakers and reps.
They all have unimpeachable integrity and great reputations. They’re also not cheap, so don’t submit a script that isn’t a strong execution of a strong logline.
