Please don’t tell me he’s wearing jeans and a tee shirt. Or that she’s wearing a tank top and skirt. That is a waste of words.
If the clothes are an important part of the character, WRITE it. “Her skirt matches her shirt like she ransacked the dumpster behind Forever 21″. It gives me something interesting to imagine and creates a unique character trait.
