Quick writing tip: don’t give your characters honorable deaths
Hi Jules! I’m currently in film school and will be writing/directing a short film soon. This isn’t my first time in these roles, however it is my first time doing it with an actual crew (usually it’s just me and an DSLR!). Do you have any advice on how to direct each department (eg camera, art, sound)? I have somewhat of an understanding of each discipline (having done some before), but I feel like I don’t have clear idea of what I want from all of them? Hope that makes sense. Love your blog!
