Story is almost worked out, thanks to Olivia and my fourth hour, who has to sit there and listen to me work through plot points. A teacher and good friend of mine is also recruited to be the villain. Ha. Hopefully my grade will still be okay.
I’ve got a guy named Brandon who will be helping me with editing and effects, especially with regards to all the superpowers we plan to do!
Now work begins on the costuming. Inspired by the tumblr textpost that’s going around about starting a female superhero’s costume with a sports bra, Vivid’s costume will be one of the most functional the superhero world has ever known. No boob windows. No corsets. Just a costume that you could actually kick butt in. While also fitting the realistic look I want the webseries to have.
Of course, that’s all kind of tough. I’ve started some sketches based on things I found in my closet, but there will have to be some sewing soon. I’ve recruited my mom to be my costuming department because I am not a productive member of society.
It’s also important for me to make a unique look for Vivian outside of her costume, because the differences between plain old Vivian and Vivid-Vivian are a very important part of her secret identity: people have to believe that Vivian Shaw wouldn’t be running around in black kicking ass and taking names so they don’t suspect her. Naturally, I’m raiding my own closet. I was, after all, voted “least likely to be a superhero” in middle school.
jk.
NO BOOB WINDOWS!!!!
