agreed, obviously the production design is phenomenal, but tbh the more i think about annihilation, the more completely infatuated i am by everything about it: its utter coldness, yet curiousness + sly celebration of new discovery; its blatant ambiguity and comfort with + within the unknown; its genuine body horror and suspense all covered in thick layers upon layers of pastel, otherworldly life… i love it all 🙂
